Bachelor 9: Lorenzo

After taking last fall off, ABC is bringing back the ninth edition of The Bachelor to its fall 2006 schedule airing 1t 9pm eastern on Mondays. ABC has also decided to reveal the identity of the next Bachelor and he is Lorenzo Borghese, a member of an Italian royal family. The Borghese family is also famous for its cosmetics business where Lorenzo oversees a line of pet care cosmetic products. No word yet if Lorenzo's career will be gone into detail on the show. The season will be filmed in Rome in keeping with the Italian theme. I'm not so sure that this is the proper set up for an actual successful match but we'll have fun watching the crazy women think they are going to become royalty overnight.

Six Degrees Pilot Review

I'm going to give a little sample and review of a couple of the more interesting fall pilots as we wait for the summer TV to really begin. I'll write up what the first episode is about and my review at the end. This process should give us all a good idea if we will be interested in watching the show come fall.

The main characters are Carlos (a public defender), Mae *pictured* (a troubled and mysterious woman), Whitney (a powerful executive), Damian (a gambler and chauffeur), Laura (a mom with a failed marriage), and Steven (a recovering addict and a photographer).

Carlos is assigned to help Mae out of trouble when she is charged with indecent exposure. Carlos makes a deal with a judge to get Mae out of trouble because he feels something for her. Later on Carlos tells his friends with benefits girl Sandy that he has met someone and wants to break it off.

We meet Whitney as she finds out that she has made partner at her PR firm. Whitney's boyfriend Roy helps her celebrate as she asks him to marry her. Roy likes the idea but wants to be the one to surprise her with a ring.

Steven appears as he has snuck to his son's school to see him. It seems that his ex will not let Steven see his son, Max. Steven gets upset and goes to a bar where Damian is as well, they do not know each other.

Damian is at the bar watching a race that he has bet on. He loses and then goes to pick up a client in his Town Car. The client is none other than Roy on his way to see Whitney.

Later on Mae is on a pay phone talking to an Eric who is upset that she got in trouble with the law because she is supposed to be on the run. Mae tells Eric she has a plan.

Laura is at lunch with a friend Bonnie about how she is going back to work. Laura is hiding the reason of her broken marriage as the reason she needs to back to work.

Damian is waiting for a client who actually turns out to be his brother Michael. Its seems that Michael wants to help Damian out of his gambling debt. Damian does not take the offer but keeps it in mind.

Whitney has found one of Steven's photos by coincidence and has asked to have a meeting with him. Whitney offers Steven a job for a perfume client but Steven becomes upset and walks out. Whitney goes after him but instead sees one of her co-workers looking at a profile of Roy on a dating website. Whitney confronts Roy who says it was done as a joke and he is not looking for someone to date.

After Mae changes her appearance with a drastic haircut and color, she goes in for a live-in nanny interview at Laura's house. Laura is impressed with Mae and offers her a job since her references checked out . Later on Mae talks to Eric on the phone and commends his fine job pretending to be a reference. They talk about how the job is great because Mae will get paid cash and does not have to sign a lease to live anywhere, no trail. Later on Mae goes on a walk with Laura's daughter Eliza and gets scared because she thinks someone is following her. Mae considers quitting the job, it may be too dangerous.

Steven goes back to a gallery where his work used to be shown and regrets that his addiction had ruined his old life. Steven asks the owner to show his old photos but the owner suggests that Steven make new work to make people forget about what happened. Steven says that he does not have the inspiration anymore and doubts this idea would work.

Later on Whitney coincidently talks at a nail salon with a stranger who happens to be Laura. They talk about the dating website Whitney found Roy's profile on and Laura agrees to help Whitney.

After trying to call Mae and finding the number disconnected, Carlos sees Mae go into a nightclub and tries to get in but the bouncer won't let him. Carlos spots Damian and his Town Car and asks for a ride down the street back to the nightclub in order to look like a VIP. Damian offers Carlos some advice and clothing to look more the part of a VIP.

The next day Carlos' boss finds out about the deal with the judge and is not happy but admires his passion for wanting to help Mae out. He suspends Carlos but does not fire him.

Laura finally decides to confront her failed marriage and sends her husband's things away in a moving van. Once the van is out of sight, Laura breaks down on the street.

Steven runs home and turns his bathroom into a darkroom. It seems that he has captured something on film that inspired him. As the image develops we see that it is Laura during her break down.

That night Laura and Whitney have set Roy up by getting him to come to a fake date to meet Laura. Once Roy arrives, Whitney gets upset and knows that Roy was lying and is a cheater. Roy says that he knew it was a set up and he came to surprise Whitney with an engagement ring and pops the question.

Damian is off to pick up Michael and wants to accept his offer for help. Michael appears out of a building with another man and what appears to be a body bag. Michael asks Damian to pop the trunk. The next day Michael thanks Damian for helping him out the previous night and pays him a large sum of cash. Damian is dealing with the fact that he shot someone. Michael asks Damian to keep working with him and asks Damian to keep an eye out for a girl he is looking for, the photo reveals that it is Mae.

My take on the pilot: I liked reading this pilot more than I expected. I liked the characters right away and it was interesting how they were all slightly connected. There were several other coincidental ways that the character's crossed paths that I did not write about. I am interested to see where this story is going but I don't know if it is going to evolve into a big mystery or if all six are going to finally meet and become one big group of friends. I'll have to wait and see the show to really grasp the tone and direction but so far so good. And with a slot after Grey's Anatomy, Six Degrees has a good chance to become a hit.

Upfront Review

Since I missed the boat on all the upfront news while I was away, I'll spare you all with the endless recap of all the schedules and pickups. I'm sure you all have seen the list and grids 10 times by now anyway. But, I will highlight some things I found interesting and newsworthy.

First of all, one of the biggest surprises came with the pick of 7th Heaven, which will be back on the CW in its 8pm eastern slot on Mondays. After the super lame finale I am a little glad that the show will be back in hopes of a decent ending but I'm upset that we were tricked into thinking this was the real series finale we saw. Too bad for the Everwood fans who got the shaft with this move but we'll have fun watching the writers get out of the hole they wrote themselves in with the multiple twin pregnancies and the ambiguous Sandy-Simon storyline. I should also not that I heard that there may only be 13 episodes of 7th Heaven's eleventh season. That makes no sense to me at all since I have no idea why they would bring this show back from the dead for half a season. But, its something to keep our eyes and ears open for nonetheless.

Another pickup that was a surprise is that What About Brian will be back in the fall. I like that the show is sticking around in its 10pm eastern slot on the ABC Monday schedule and I'm glad that the network decided to give the show another chance. What About Brian seemed to get stronger as the season went on so I have high hopes for the next season. No word yet about what will become of the 3 unaired episodes.

It was interesting to see ABC move Grey's Anatomy to the ultimate competition spot at 9pm eastern on Thursdays. I will be fun to see if this mega hit show will be able to knock CSI down a peg. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy CSI but it could stand to lose a little hype and actually have to work a bit harder to captivate the audience.

The OC will also remain in 9pm eastern Thursday slot for FOX but its going to be impossible to get better ratings against both Grey's and CSI. I'm just hoping that the fourth season's storylines will be better than the ones we had to endure this season. It will be also fun to wait and see how long it will take before the inevitable Marissa flashback/dream/alternate universe scenes happen once Mishca Barton realizes her movie career isn't going to take off. I heard that Volchok will be back for the aftermath, I wonder where they are going witht that one. Its also important to note that rumor has it that season four of the OC will not premiere until after the World Series concludes, which means mark your calendars for November.

Going back to the CW, I like the pairings for the most part. Especially Gilmore Girls with Veronica Mars on Tuesday. America's Next Top Model with One Tree Hill should work out nice too. I was a bit disappointed to see the pilot "Split Decision" did not make the cut but maybe it will be resurrected at some point.

Over at NBC, the one of only interesting things going on is Sunday Night Football begins fall this season. I still don't understand which game will be the "big game of the week". Is it the Sunday one on primetime national television or the one on the traditional Monday night slot on ESPN? My gut tells me the Sunday night one will end up getting the biggest billing and hype, thus becoming the big game of the week but its still a toss up.

Also on NBC, I like the concept of the Heroes pilot. I'm not big into Sci-Fi or anything that is too high concept but I know that Heroes sounds like a good character study so I'm going to give it a chance. Anyway, I'm going to review the pilot script and post about it sometime soon. Its not exactly a spoiler per se but since it has not aired yet some of you might find it interesting to read about anyhow.

Another thing to note about NBC is that they are only going to have one cycle of the Apprentice next season as it will not premiere until the spring and will be one of the shows to replace Sunday Night Football. I wonder how the Donald feels that his "hit show" is getting reduced to once a year. I'd love to hear his ridiculous spin on this issue.

Another show that is moving to Sundays is The Amazing Race. I like that the show is still in a 8pm eastern slot but being against football is not going to be pretty. I like its chances better once football is over and makes a nice combo with Desperate Housewives on ABC at 9pm. The Amazing Race is one of my absolute favorite reality shows and I hope it will be on for a very long time. Here is to hoping it can find a good home on Sunday.

Just a last general comment is that I am surprised that the networks are trying to block program their shows more. Meaning that some are being rolled out late or held off until midseason in order to keep the audience's attention and repeat less. I also noticed less new shows will premiere this fall and more favorites with less than stellar ratings given a chance. If all this means less cancelled shows, I am all for it. So far it is shaping up to be a great fall!

Big Brother All-Stars Voting Update

Its almost time to get out to the polls and vote for your favorite former Big Brother contestant to compete on this season of Big Brother All-Stars. CBS has announced that on Wednesday, June 21st at 8pm eastern there will be a Big Brother preview show where Julie Chen will reveal the 20 candidates to vote for and will kick off the online vote that night. Rumor has it that the top 3 guys and girls with the most votes will be automatically on the show while the producers get to select the other 6 to round out the cast. Here is to hoping that there will be some great people to choose from!

Updating this one day later, I found a list of potential Big Brother All-Stars contestants who will comprise the top 20 for the audience to vote for. This list is not sent in stone as all of these contestants might not have commited to the season yet or CBS may change their minds but here is what the top 20 looks like now. The 5 with * by their name have appeared on another list, alternates perhaps? We'll find out on June 21st.

BB1: George Boswell
BB2: Will Kirby, Mike “Boogie” Malin, Bill “Bunky” Miller, Monica Bailey, Shannon Dragoo*, Sheryl Braxton*

Veronica Mars Renewed!

Just a quick update from the high seas to shout from the rooftops that Veronica Mars will be back for a third season. I hope this comes as wonderful news if you have not already heard. Veronica Mars will be a part of the new CW schedule on Tuesday nights at 9pm eastern following Gilmore Girls. But, the renewal comes with one catch, the season (and presumably the show) can be cancelled after 13 episodes if the ratings are low. This would be such a huge disappointment so please get everyone you know to watch Veronica Mars this fall!

Veronica Mars Season 2 Repeats

I just wanted to let you all know that beginning Tuesday, May 16th at 9pm UPN is rerunning the complete second season of Veroncia Mars. From what I have heard the entire season will be shown this summer with some back to back showings to get all 22 episodes in before fall. This is a great opportunity to catch up on missed episodes or a way to watch and catch clues about the mysteries and Beaver's evilness. Either way its a chance to watch a great show and get ready for season 3 (fingers crossed).

Survivor Panama Episode 14 (finale) Spoilers

CBS did a nice little trick by not showing us the outcome of the fire making tiebreaker challenge but its very likely that the spoiler I posted yesterday will come true and Cirie will be the one who does not make it to the final 3.

This would confirm my long range spoilers it will be Aras, Terry and Danielle in the final 3. It appears that Aras wins the final 3 endurance immunity challenge on a colored incline and chooses Danielle to go to the finals with him. As for who wins, there was been information for both Aras and Danielle taking home the $million but my money is on Aras. Danielle has a few too many enemies to make the vote come out in her way. The winner on Survivor is always hardest to spoil because very few actually have that information but I'll trust the spoilers on this one and say Aras will be the winner.

Survivor Panama Episode 13 Spoilers

Its time for the final 4 on Survivor. Usually the final 4 would be part of the finale but CBS has decided to go back to season 2's format of beginning the finale with 3. The finale will air on Sunday.

Unfortunately, I do not have any information about the challenges but its rumored that the winner of the reward challenge gets to visit the Panama Canal.

At tribal council its speculated that there is a tie in the vote between Cirie and Danielle. They are forced to compete in a sudden death fire making challenge and it seems that Danielle wins and sends Cirie packing. It is possible that the hidden immunity idol will come into play at this tribal council because it will be useless once they hit the final 3. Aras and Terry are for sure making the final 3.

The OC Death

There is rampant speculation about who is going to be the big death on the season finale of the OC next week, That 70's Show is having a 2 hour series finale this week. My information tells that Sandy is going to have a heart attack and will be in bad shape for most of the episode. Weather or not Sandy is the one who dies is another story and one I do not have an answer to. Other theories have come out saying that Marissa is the one who dies from a drug overdose because Mischa Barton is unhappy playing a teen in angst and wants to get her movie career started. Personally I don't think either of these two are going to die. The OC has a tendency to let some characters die but they have never been main ones. With a main cast list so small I doubt they would let either Sandy or Marissa go, although Marissa may not be a series regular next year. My prediction for the big death is that Volchok's stay on the OC will have a dramatic end if you know what I mean.

Rescue Me 3.08 Spoilers

This episode will air July 25, 2006.

The episode opens with the crew on a call. Tommy and Lou have a conversation with a police officer Lt. John Stackhouse, Stack for short. They give each other just general pleasantries and friendly ribbing.

Later on Lou is drunk at a bar being pretty miserable. Mike is there too as they continue to drink. Meanwhile, Tommy is at the hockey rink still sobbing away. The guys at the rink think he is nuts.

Maggie and Sean are talking about getting married. Maggie wants to elope and just go down to city hall but Sean gets a little sentimental and actually wants a wedding. Another wedding is taking place as well. This one is Teddy and his conjugal visit bride named Ellie. Tommy is at the ceremony that takes place at the prison. Since Ellie does not have any family, it is her ex prison husband named Snake to walk her down the aisle. Ellie divorced Sanke once he got off of death row and became a free man. Snake is still upset about Ellie leaving him and he keeps making snide comments during the ceremony. Teddy gets upset and has a scuffle with Sanke. That promptly ends the ceremony and Teddy loses his conjugal "wedding night" visit but makes sure they are hitched before going back to his cell. It seems Ellie will be back the following week.

Meanwhile, Lou for some reason has just found an abundance of happiness and spies a couple going into what looks like a regular gym. When Lou gets inside he sees that it is an Asian style yoga gym. A yoga instructor named Epiphany greets Lou and offers a free workout. Lou thinks yoga will be easy but soon will find out he does not know what he got himself into.

At the same time, Franco goes into a bar hoping to meet a chick to take home for one night. Instead he meets someone named Nicole who he really likes. The end up in the sack later on and Franco is surprised at his feelings of intimacy and honesty. Nicole gets up to use the restroom and finds Keela's room instead. Keela's room is still just the way it was left in episode 5, it seems something has happened to Keela.

Mike and Chris seem to be having a rough spot in their relationship. Mike isn't honest to Chris about what he is doing but at the same time Chris is having an affair with some neighbor guy.

Tommy is having issues of his own as Angie has some guy named Sebastian beat him up. Angie is also upset that Tommy told Johnny to divorce her. Later on Tommy goes to visit Stack in the hospital. It seems that something went very wrong on a call and he is in the burn unit with both legs missing. The episode ends with Tommy at Stack's bedside.

Its Veronica Mars Finale Day

Today is the day we have all been anticipating, its the day of the Veronica Mars finale and nobody is more excited than me. If even half of the spoilers come true, this episode is sure to be a wild ride. I do not know how they plan to get everything into a 40 minute show but they always do and it amazes me. Ratings have not been great but last week Veronica Mars has 2.33 million viewers, which is decent considering the show was preempted in New York again. Tonight there will be no preemptions that I am aware of and hopefully the show will draw in great ratings. This has been your weekly reminder to watch at 9pm on UPN. Hopefully you did not need to be reminded though!

Here is the official press release from UPN: "After learning the identity of the perpetrator responsible for the bus crash, Veronica hurries to warn others, but ends up putting herself in an extremely perilous situation. Meanwhile, Keith enlists Veronica's help in his ongoing investigation of Woody (guest star Steve Guttenberg) and asks her go undercover to get some vital information from Woody's lawyer. Later, when graduation day finally comes around, Neptune seniors celebrate at a huge party at the Neptune Grand on the season finale of VERONICA MARS, Tuesday, May 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.. John Kretchmer directed the episode from a script written by series' creator and Executive Producer Rob Thomas, and John Enbom."

And please don't forget to look to the skies if you live in the Los Angeles area for the renew Veronica Mars plane!

CSI Episode 23 Spoilers

This is part one of the two part finale that will air on May 11, 2006. I already wrote up part 2 and posted it on 4.17.06.

The episode opens with gunfire and a chase in a casino. Warrick is there and he is helping the security officers chase down the guy. The guy being chased shoots a security officer and then grabs a woman and heads into an elevator. When security gets the cameras up they see that all elevators are empty and the guy is missing.

Then the episode shifts to what happened 15 hours ago. The crew is all at a suburban house where there has been a very messy gruesome murder. The dead body is of a woman named Janice and it appears she was shot in the face.

Later on Grissom is talking to a Dr. Robbins about the one that got away. Grissom had given his grandmother's ring to a woman named Corinne Daly and asked her to marry him. It all ended when Grissom got the ring back.

Back on the case Sara and Brass interrogate a man named Timothy Johnson who was Janice's gardener. After a couple rounds if questions we learn that Timothy was sleeping with Janice. Her husband came home while they were in the middle of something so Timothy hid in the closet and lost his sock. Once the coast was clear Timothy left but did not see if Janice was dead or alive at that time.

Meanwhile, Nick and Warrick are lifting some finger prints and Nick calls a hooker named Sally to come meet him. Once she arrives, Nick interrogates her and comes to find that one of Sally's clients was Janice's husband, Willie. Sally says that Willie had a lot of cash with him and offered to take her to Hawaii and she still has the brochure. Catherine goes to the travel agency but it is closed.

Later on the crew goes to investigate a taxi company. A taxi driver says that he drove some guy around all night who just kept giving the driver money. The crew assumed it was Willie in the cab all night but instead it was someone related to him named Sammy. A close up reveals that this passenger had a gun with him.

By this time al 15 hours between the casino chase scene and the investigation have elapsed and both plot lines are running at the same time as each other. Warrick is investigating at the casino. Meanwhile Willie enters the casino and gets into a scuffle with a random person at the casino. This is when a security officer intervenes and gets shot. Willie takes off running through the casino.

We find out that Willie has the woman from the elevator held hostage in one of the casino hotel rooms. Brass is going in to try to negotiate with Willie.

Back at the lab Catherine and Nick track Willie's casino play from earlier in the day. It seems that Willie was winning at blackjack but the pit boss lowered his limit because they suspected something fishy. This upset Willie who then later explains to Brass that he started losing after the encounter and called up his brother Sammy. Sammy came to pick Willie up and take him home but then that is when Willie found Janice in bed with the gardener. Willie and Janice had a fight and Sammy kills Janice. Brass tells Willie that Sammy has been arrested and Willie wants to speak with him by phone. Brass asks Willie to point the gun at him instead of the hostage.

Meanwhile, Warrick is investigating the table where Willie was playing at earlier and the pit boss who spoke to him. Warrick is also looking for his wife Tina. Later on Warrick spots Tina and freaks out when he sees someone suspicious approaching her. False alarm, they are still looking for Sammy.

Rescue Me 3.07 Spoilers

This episode will air July 18, 2006

The episode opens with Jerry arriving at the firehouse and finds out that the crew has been exiled from the building while people from headquarters are doing a porno search. Jerry becomes upset when he sees someone he knows is running the search. Jerry knocks the clipboard out of this man's hands and then Jerry gives him a lecture about how his men save lives and deserve to have access to porn on occasion. But in the end the search turns up nothing and the people from headquarters leave.

Tommy and Colleen are having a meeting with her school therapist. The therapist, Dr. Klien, is getting nowhere with Colleen and she leaves the room. Once Colleen is gone Tommy asks Dr. Klein about a sudden uncontrollable crying condition that Tommy has but is pretending that Colleen is the one who is experiencing it. Tommy rules out the doctor's suggestions of hormones and inability to express emotion and settles on the reason of survivor's guilt. Tommy asks for medication to fix it.

Meanwhile, the crew is at the firehouse and it appears that something has happened that is going to cost at least $1,800 to fix. It seems that a large amount of money is missing. Later on it appears that Birdie took Jerry's money and Tommy is going to come up with something to get it back. Even later we find out that Birdie's car is missing but he still isn't willing to negotiate with Jerry.

A couple of detectives visit Lou. It seems that Candy has been arrested but they need someone to press charges against her or else she will get out of jail. Lou is their last chance to get Candy but Lou wants doesn't want to deal with it. The detectives ask Lou to at least consider it. Later on Lou has decided to stick it to Candy and testify against her.

Maggie and Sean are still trying to have a relationship. It seems that Maggie likes it when Sean is really aggressive so Sean roughs up some stranger on the street to impress Maggie. Later on Sean gets a little too cocky and ends up getting in a scuffle with a guy larger than him and a guy with mace.

Later on Mike is out at a bar and is chatting with a girl named Paula. Chris comes over and threatens Mike not to do anything with Paula. Mike confronts Chris about some underwear he found under the bed but Chris says they don't mean anything. Later that night Mike and Paula are in bed and he confesses that he has been living with Chris and receiving blow jobs but is not gay. Paula then offers to help Mike through his situation.

Love Veronica Mars? Look to the Skies!

In honor to celebrate the second season finale and to ensure a season 3 on the CW, a group of Veronica Mars fans on Television Without Pity and Live Journal have banded together and are planning some pretty cool things to happen in the next couple of days. Veronica Mars inspired t-shirts, care packages, and floral bouquets will be sent to decision makers at the CW, its parent companies, and influential people in the media. This is all leading up to the big Cloud Watchers (CW) event on May 9th. During the peak rush hours (along the 405), an airplane will fly the skies between the UPN offices in Los Angeles and the future site of the CW headquarters, showing network officials the way to their new home in Burbank. The banner will read "RENEW VERONICA MARS! CW 2006! It should be quite a treat for those of you who live in Los Angeles and can witness this first hand.

Over $5,000 has been raised by fans at TWoP and in addition to the Cloud Watchers campaign, these fine folks have set up a DVD campaign as well. They are going to donate DVD sets to local libraries in some of the largest television markets in the US. If you would like to help out with a monetary donation or a set of Veronica Mars DVDs please visit this website for more information. http://community.livejournal.com/cloud_watchers/

These efforts need as much media and internet coverage as possible so please forward this post or let as many people know about Cloud Watchers and the DVD campaign as possible!

What About Brian Unaired Finale Spoilers

Originally I was hoping to post spoilers for the unaired episode that was supposed to be 107 but the information has since disappeared before I could get it. However, I do have information on what was supposed to happen in the original finale of What About Brain that would be episode 108. Currently its not looking good for a pick up next season of this show so perhaps this can be used as closure.

The episode opens with Dave and Deena hosting a dinner party for the couples Brain & Lisa B and Adam & Marjorie. Both couples are absent and the kids have filled their seats with stuffed animals. Dave and Deena have no idea why everyone is late.

It seems that Marjorie and Adam have had some sort of fight and they are broken up. Marjorie is working straight shifts at the hospital and won't go home, she hasn't been there in 5 days. Later on Adam goes to find Marjorie at the hospital but she had a Dr. Gael drive her to a friend's house. We also find out that Adam does not get the partnership but neither does Piedmont.

Dave sees Richard and starts a fist fight with him. The kids' nanny comes over and breaks it up. Later on Dave comes home with the kids looking pretty bad and has to explain to Deena what happened. It seems that the cops got involved. Dave also gets a huge job offer from Suzanne to leave Zap Monkey and his partnership with Brian. Later on Brian finds out about Dave's job offer and is hurt but seems ok with it. We also find out Dave and Suzanne had an affair but Dave thinks its less hurtful to Denna than hers with Richard because Deena can't visualize Suzanne and Dave together. Dave and Deena are trying to make it work but are having a hard time getting over the affairs.

Meanwhile at work Nicole receives news that a woman named Brenda is going to let Nicole and Angelo adopt her baby. They must rush out of town for the birth of their daughter. Just as the baby is born, the birth father named Caleb comes to see Brenda and tells Nicole and Angelo that they had no reason to come. Caleb pretty much wants Angelo to pay his off so that they can keep the baby. Angelo agrees but calls someone and speaks Italian but its just Brian on the other end. It seems like Brain and Angelo are figuring out a plan.

Veronica Mars Season 2 DVD Info

Warner Brothers has just announced that the season 2 set of Veronica Mars DVDs will go on sale on Tuesday, August 22nd. Season 2's DVD set will have the bonus features we were all missing in season 1's set such as a behind the scenes featurette and gag reel in addition to some deleted scenes. In the press release it was stated that the timing of the DVDs is supposed to coincide with the launch of the CW on September 18th and premiere of season 3 of Veronica Mars. While no official pick up has been announced by the CW, it is very encouraging news that the DVD release is timed this way in order for new viewers to catch up on seasons 1 and 2. What is even more encouraging is that Warner Brothers mentioned a season 3 in their own press release. I for one as very excited about this news and am marking my calendar for the season 2 release date.
