Originally I was hoping to post spoilers for the unaired episode that was supposed to be 107 but the information has since disappeared before I could get it. However, I do have information on what was supposed to happen in the original finale of What About Brain that would be episode 108. Currently its not looking good for a pick up next season of this show so perhaps this can be used as closure.
The episode opens with Dave and Deena hosting a dinner party for the couples Brain & Lisa B and Adam & Marjorie. Both couples are absent and the kids have filled their seats with stuffed animals. Dave and Deena have no idea why everyone is late.
It seems that Marjorie and Adam have had some sort of fight and they are broken up. Marjorie is working straight shifts at the hospital and won't go home, she hasn't been there in 5 days. Later on Adam goes to find Marjorie at the hospital but she had a Dr. Gael drive her to a friend's house. We also find out that Adam does not get the partnership but neither does Piedmont.
Dave sees Richard and starts a fist fight with him. The kids' nanny comes over and breaks it up. Later on Dave comes home with the kids looking pretty bad and has to explain to Deena what happened. It seems that the cops got involved. Dave also gets a huge job offer from Suzanne to leave Zap Monkey and his partnership with Brian. Later on Brian finds out about Dave's job offer and is hurt but seems ok with it. We also find out Dave and Suzanne had an affair but Dave thinks its less hurtful to Denna than hers with Richard because Deena can't visualize Suzanne and Dave together. Dave and Deena are trying to make it work but are having a hard time getting over the affairs.
Meanwhile at work Nicole receives news that a woman named Brenda is going to let Nicole and Angelo adopt her baby. They must rush out of town for the birth of their daughter. Just as the baby is born, the birth father named Caleb comes to see Brenda and tells Nicole and Angelo that they had no reason to come. Caleb pretty much wants Angelo to pay his off so that they can keep the baby. Angelo agrees but calls someone and speaks Italian but its just Brian on the other end. It seems like Brain and Angelo are figuring out a plan.

Survivor Panama Episode 12 Spoilers
Its time for the family visit in Survivorland and this time more than one tribemate gets to see their family. The twist is that whomever gets set to Exile Island will not be able to spend time with their loved one. It appears that Aras is the one who gets the short end of the stick and is angry that everyone, especially Terry, did this to him. As for the immunity challenge, it is speculated that Terry wins again and it is Shane who is the one to go home just missing out on the final 4.

What About Brian Unaired Episode A Spoilers
This episode should have been aired next and is episode 104. However, ABC is skipping this one and is showing episode 105 on Monday, May 1st. I guess they really are not spoilers if the episode is never going to air! But, I'm sure you all who watch the show would like the additional information so that when you see 105 it makes sense.
Nicole is helping some band set up for a concert. She is having a discussion with Brian about her marriage to Angelo and if she wants to continue to her marriage if Angelo does not want to have kids. Nicole is apprehensive about doing daily fertility injections in order to get pregnant so she is really conflicted. Dave talks to Suzanne about his open marriage and his concerns about having an affair. Richard and Deena are still continuing their affair as they go to Santa Monica for the day. Once Richard leaves, Deena discovers that she locked her car keys in the hotel room but since her name was not on the reservation the hotel staff won't let her back into the room to get them. Deena calls Nicole and asks for her help to pick up her kids from school and not to tell Dave about anything. Meanwhile, Brian and Adam play a game of basketball with a guy from the gym named Boomer for the right to date the girl Boomer is currently seeing, Lisa. Adam and Brian win the game at the last second and Boomer still thinks that Lisa is going to want to be with him anyway. Later on, Nicole goes to pick up Larissa from school in a limo. The girls then have a great time with Nicole at the concert site but she is a bit overwhelmed. Angelo comes to rescue Nicole and awkwardly takes care of the girls. At the same time, Adam and Marjorie are getting ready for a big dinner with the partners. Before the dinner Marjorie goes to visit Brian at the concert and they get into a fight about who Brian is dating. Then we see Adam alone at the fancy dinner and the partners are upset that they could not meet Marjorie because they want to evaluate the character of their potential partner's personal lives. To make matters worse, Piedmont seems to have the perfect wife and personal life. Just as Adam begins to make excuses for Marjorie's absence, she shows up to save Adam's day. In the end it looks like Brian gets the girl, Lisa.

NFL Draft

1. Houston Texans: Mario Williams (confirmed)
2. New Orleans Saints: Reggie Bush
3. Tennessee Titans: Vince Young
4. New York Jets: Matt Leinart
5. Green Bay Packers: D'Brickshaw Ferugson
6. San Francisco 49ers: AJ Hawk
7. Oakland Raiders: Santonio Holmes
8. Buffalo Bills: Vernon Davis
9. Deroit Lions: Michael Huff
10. Arizona Cardinals: Jay Cutler
Here is how the actual top 10 turned out: Actually I added the 11th selection as well, you will see why in a second.
1. Houston Texans: Mario Williams
2. New Orleans Saints: Reggie Bush
3. Tennessee Titans: Vince Young
4. New York Jets: D'Brickshaw Ferguson
5. Green Bay Packers: AJ Hawk
6. San Francisco 49ers: Vernon Davis
7. Oakland Raiders: Michael Huff
8. Buffalo Bills: Donte Whitner
9. Detroit Lions: Ernie Sims
10: Arizona Cardinals: Matt Leinart
11. Denver Broncos: Jay Cutler
My take on the draft: For the most part I like all the picks and think that they will help their respective teams. It was a surprise that Bush did not go number one and if that fact hadn't leaked last night my top 10 would have looked a lot different and I most likely would not have guessed one selection correct. The only real surprise was how far Leinart fell, I was sure Oakland would take him if available. I had to add the pick my Broncos made at eleven. I like the pick a lot and will have Broncos fans excited for the future. Not only did the Broncos draft a future potential star QB but they also traded for WR Javon Walker. I'm glad the Broncos focused on offense in day 1 and I look for them to take a running back and someone for the defensive line on Sunday. I am also keeping my eye out for when and where some of my hometown favorites WR Jeremy Bloom and QB Justin Holland land. Bring on the 2006 season!

What About Brian Episode 5 (finale) Spoilers
Like I said in my previous post that this is actually episode 106 since ABC is skipping 104 but I'm calling it episode 5 because that is what everyone knows it as. In addition, I have spoilers available for 107 and 108 which will not be shown this season. If What About Brian gets picked up for next season we may see those 3 missing episodes but I'll go ahead and post about them in the near future anyway.
This episode will air on May 8, 2006.
Dave, Brian, Adam and Angelo are at a Girl Scout car wash. While getting Dave's minivan washed they are all in the vehicle and are looking at a video on the flip down DVD monitors. The video appears to be from last episode's birthday party but the guys are more interested in a fight that was caught on camera. Dave is concerned about the fight because it appears that it involves Deena and some other man. The guys seem to think that nobody would have a fight like that intense unless something else was going on. Meanwhile, Deena and Richard talk at the park and he apologizes for showing up to the party but he was just trying to act natural. Deena then talks about how happy she was to see Richard so she starts to forgive him.

What About Brian Episode 4 Spoilers
Please note that this actually should be episode 5 but for some reason ABC is skipping the real episode #104. I'll post the unaired episodes at a later time.
Marjorie and Adam are shopping for place settings at Crate and Barrel but they can't seem to come to agreement on anything. Dave is planning for a birthday party and is having some issues at a costume shop who then proceeds to offends a lot of people in the store. Dave asked for Barney but it is unavailable then has to take the only costume left which is a Stegosaurus named Stan. Meanwhile, Brian and Lisa are having some fun in the shower. Later on, Dave is trying to get the party ready but Deena is at the store so he has to take care of everything himself. Dave is also instant messaging with a woman named Suzanne at the same time. Then Dave has to deal with a power outage due to an inflatable bouncy that is being set up on his lawn. Deena gets home just in time to save the day.

Survivor Panama Episode 11 Spoilers
Its win a car time on Survivor as the reward challenge splits the 6 remaining tribemates in to 2 teams. Those teams are Aras, Cirie and Shane against Courtney, Danielle and Terry. It appears that the latter group wins the first portion of the challenge. Of course it is Terry who prevails and wins the second part against the two ladies and gets to take the car home. It is assumed that Danielle and Courtney drive away with Terry in his new car for the second part of the reward, most likely some food and a chance to clean up. Aras is the one who is sent to Exile Island by Terry's choice. That leaves Cirie and Shane back at camp and it looks like Cirie does a great job at fishing and brings home a huge catch. The immunity challenge this week is another endurance one with everyone kneeling on a platform and having to hold a lever that keeps them out of the water. Terry appears to win immunity again, forcing the Casayas to pick one of them to go home. In the end its Courtney who gets the sort end of the stick. Can't wait to see how that decision develops.
Project Runway 3
Bravo has finally decided that Project Runway is a big enough hit to start producing two seasons a year now. Casting and preparations are now underway for a third season of Project Runway that is going to premiere on Wednesday, July 12th. The finale will focus on Spring Fashion Week in September instead of the usual Fall Fashion Week in February. If the show continues to be a success as the first two seasons have been, there is no doubt that we will see a season 4 sometime in the winter.

Gilmore Girls Pregnancy
The previews for next week's episode reveal that someone is pregnant but I just learned that it is not the person most would expect. Its not Lorelai or Rory, the one that gets pregnant is Liz.
Also in next week's Gilmore Girls episode Emily will get LASIK surgery on her eyes and Lorelai will help drive Emily around. Sookie and Jackson find out someone planted marijuana on their land and they have to get rid of it. Rory deals with Mitchum and some things he said about her in a newspaper article. Rory also takes care of Logan when he gets out of the hospital.

Tuesday is Veronica Mars Day
This is your weekly reminder to watch Veronica Mars tonight. Last week's ratings were around the 2 million mark again but VM was preempted in New York City and Philadelphia last week so what can you expect? I also want to point out that a repeat of Veronica Mars will NOT be shown on Wednesdays anymore so if you want to see tonight's new episode I suggest you plan to watch or tape it tonight.
Tonight we are going to have our alternative prom, Veronica learns she has an STD, Veronica helps Gia with her stalker problem and Keith helps Woody with an affair. This episode should be a great one and there should be lots of Logan tonight.

What About Brian Episode 3 Spoilers
I realize that this episode is airing tonight but it took me a while to catch up on things. I'll try to get to some more episodes from this show posted later on this week!
The episode will air on April 24, 2006.
Its moving day as Marjorie and Adam are moving in together. They both get caught at a store trying to "borrow" some boxes for their move. Marjorie has some problems with her movers and is worried about what is going to happen to her stuff that is sitting in the street if they don't come. Adam calls Brian to help Marjorie but Dave and Adam end up helping as well. Later on Marjorie confronts Adam about his night with Lisa. Brian also fixes the broken down moving truck. After all the moving is completed and everyone has left, Brian and Marjorie have a moment but nothing comes out of it, they can just both feel the feelings between them.
Adam is also working very hard to make partner. Adam's nemesis, Piedmont suggests that they work together on the big Bowers case. Adam refuses and ends up meeting D.B. Bowers and they get to talking and bond over Adam's mishaps but D.B. tries to talk Adam out of marriage and convinces him to slow things down.
Meanwhile, Brian and Dave are having a meeting about their gaming company and Dave is trying to get Brian's mind off of the ladies. In the end, the meeting does go well but Dave and Brian anxiously await a phone call all day. They end up not getting the phone call and over analyze the reasons for their failure.
Deena is trying to get Larissa to go to the park and makes a deal with her. But before leaving Larissa throws up on Deena. After making Larissa feel better, Deena goes to the park with the kids to have another meeting with Richard but they end up missing eachother by seconds. Later on Deena and Nicole talk about children and how each has the better luck and situation. After her talk with Nicole, Denna ignores a call from Richard and instead focuses on Dave.

Rescue Me 3.06 Spoilers
This episode will air on July 11, 2006.
Lou, Tommy, Sean and everyone are at a party. It seems that Sean has gotten really wasted and the guys carry him into the bunk room.
Uncle Teddy is still in prison and he has figured out that if he is married to someone it entitles him a conjugal visit every 10 days. To make things even better, the visitor only gets to stay for up to an hour so Teddy thinks that is just enough time to get what he wants without having to listen to her talk. It seems like Teddy and a woman have an agreement and that she likes the arrangement too. A guard tells Teddy that he has a good chance of getting off of death row because a lot of people are protesting because Teddy shot a drunk driver. Teddy think this development might ruin his plans.
There is a fire at an abandoned warehouse. It seems like Lou made a mistake and Tommy had to come back to save Lou and Franco. Lou is pretty upset about it and goes to see Uncle Red, who is a retired firefighter. Red takes Lou downtown to a diner. The cook at the diner is a guy named Georgie. Red explains that many years ago he saved Georgie in a fire and tells Lou that he should not be so hard on himself, that Lou makes a difference in people's lives.
Meanwhile, it appears that Sean is on some sort of rampage. He is going all over town being a menace to society. Sean has a run in at a convenience store where he steals some candy and calls the people in the store fat and ugly. Outside of the store a cop is trying to give Sean a parking ticket and then Sean proceeds to unrinate in front of the cop and then gets in his car and speeds away. (This scene is hirlarious, I can't do it justice). Later on Sean goes to Maggie's apartment and punches a guy out. Meanwhile, the crew is called to the convenience store where Sean had his episode because the clerk recognized his Ladder 62 FDNY shirt. None of the guys can believe that Sean would do these things and plus they left his asleep in the bunk hours ago. Just then, Sean pulls up still on his thing with a white bunny and continues to harass the cop.
Tommy and Angie are at an Italian restaurant. Angie wants Tommy to make out with her so Shirley, who works at the restaurant, can see them. Then Angie sees her ex Fred in the window and Tommy goes outside to confront him. After Fred backs off Angie comes outside to join Tommy and they continue to kiss.
Chris and his boyfriend are still exploring their issues.

Save Our Show Poll
Its that time of year again, time when Kristin from E! Online conducts her Save Our Show poll. The winner will receive first rate treatment, all the promotion in the world and a handwritten letter from Kristin herself. This type of prize could mean the difference between renewal and cancellation so please make sure your opinion is heard.
All you have to do to vote is to email Kristin at tvdiva@eonline.com and put the title of the show you would like to be saved in the subject line. Keep in mind that this is the only way she can count the votes so make sure you do it correctly!
I would also like to ask you all to consider voting for Veronica Mars. I know a lot of positive buzz has been going around lately but this show is still in need of our support. Nothing is set in stone in show business and another month of poor ratings may eventually take their toll on Veronica Mars. All I'm saying is don't assume anything and if you love Veronica Mars make sure your voice is heard. Also, it won't help to vote for a show that has already been picked up for next season (CSI) or will for sure be back (Lost, Grey's Anatomy, 24). No reality shows either. This vote is for scripted shows that have a real chance of being cancelled.
Now, go vote!

NHL Playoffs & Odds

Eastern Conference:
#1 Ottawa Senators (3-1)
#2 Carolina Hurricanes (15-2)
#3 New Jersey Devils (8-1)
#4 Buffalo Sabres (9-1)
#5 Philadelphia Flyers (7-1)
#6 New York Rangers (20-1)
#7 Montreal Canadiens (35-1)
#8 Tampa Bay Lightning (25-1)
Western Conference
#1 Detroit Red Wings (5-2)
#2 Dallas Stars (7-1)
#3 Calgary Flames (7-1)
#4 Nashville Predators (33-1)
#5 San Jose Sharks (11-1)
#6 Anaheim Mighty Ducks (25-1)
#7 Colorado Avalanche (33-1)
#8 Edmonton Oilers (35-1)
My take on these odds: Hockey is so fun because a case could be made for any of these teams to win the Stanley Cup. I'm a little disappointed (trend?) in Colorado's low odds. While the odds are on par for the 7th seed team I feel like they should be given a little more respect. Ottawa and Detroit are looking strong but their odds are so high they can't be considered a good bet. Buffalo is too high at 9-1. Calgary and Philadelphia at 7-1 are good bets. I'm also liking New York at 20-1 as a team with potential to go all the way and make some big money those odds.
NBA Playoffs & Odds
Its that time of the year when the NBA kicks it into high gear and brings on the championship. Here are the current odds to win the NBA Championship (don't you think they need a better name for it?) courtesy of fieldgoal.com. As always, my opinions are following the odds at the bottom.
Eastern Conference:
#1 Detroit Pistons (2-3)
#2 Miami Heat (8-1)
#3 New Jersey Nets (10-1)
#4 Cleveland Cavs (40-1)
#5 Washington Wizards (100-1)
#6 Indiana Pacers (60-1)
#7 Chicago Bulls (100-1)
#8 Milwaukee Bucs (150-1)
Western Conference:
#1 San Antonio Spurs (7-2)
#2 Phoenix Suns (10-1)
#3 Denver Nuggets (50-1)
#4 Dallas Mavericks (10-1)
#5 Memphis Grizzlies (60-1)
#6 LA Clippers (40-1)
#7 LA Lakers (30-1)
#8 Sacramento Kings (40-1)
My take on these odds: Starting in the east, the Miami is not a bad bet at 8-1 for a team that has a great chance to be in the finals. New Jersey is a smart bet at 10-1 also. A little riskier bet would be Cleveland at 40-1 but would pay off nicely in the end. At the 6th seed, Indiana's odds are a little high. In the west, I'm disappointed my Nuggets were not given a better odds to win. I don't think they will win the championship but they should be given a little more respect as a #3 seed. At 10-1 Phoenix and Dallas are smart bets. Anyone placing their money on either LA team or Sacramento is setting themselves up for a let down, these odds are way to high at 40-1 and 30-1.

Gilmore Girls Creators Leaving
I guess this gets as official as news can get, Warner Brothers is reporting that Amy-Sherman Palladino and her husband Dan have decided not to accept Warner Brothers' offer of 5 million dollars to return for Gilmore Girls' 7th and possibly final season. The person to fill those large shoes has already been named and is none other than current Gilmore Girls writer and producer Dave Rosenthal.
I am not overly upset about this news. Sure it is hard to lose the show's orignal creator and executive producer but I'm sure the Dave Rosenthal will keep the theme and feel of the show the same. Some new and more interesting storylines would not hurt either. Put me on the side of people who are ready for a change.

The OC Season 4 News
While nothing is official yet, the producers of The OC are getting ready for season 4. Creator Josh Schwartz revealed that Marissa's sister Kaitlin will be back next year. In fact, Kaitlin will be moving back to Newport and will attend school there. Schwartz anticipates that there will be a whole new crop of characters and storylines revolving around Kaitlin. Meanwhile, Taylor will be made a series regular as well.
I find this to be good news and I'm glad that the OC has decided to keep some interesting characters around. Season 4 should be an improvement and something to look forward to.

Survivor Panama Episode 10 Spoilers
This week it is Thanksgiving time on the island and we finally get to see the medical emergency that was shown in the previews from recap week. Bruce is the one who will be leaving due to an intestinal medical condition and it appears that this happens very early on in the episode. By the time the castaways get to the reward challenge Bruce will be gone. The reward challenge is the traditional pecking order rope chop challenge but this season's twist is that in order to earn the right to chop someone's rope they must answer a personal question about their tribemates. Terry loses this challenge and gets sent to Exile Island. It appears that Danielle wins the reward and possibly takes Aras with her. The reward is a getaway with a chance to eat and clean up. It also looks like there will be no immunity challenge this week due to Bruce's departure as the we see a whole lot of filler footage of the Casaya members bickering. Lets hope that Bruce has made a full recovery!

For all the Lamb Fans...
I just heard that Michael Muhney, who plays Sheriff Don Lamb on Veronica Mars, is in talks with Warner Brothers to strike a deal that will have him as a regular next season and appear in the opening credits. This is great news on two fronts! First, we would love to see more of Sheriff Lamb. And second, does this really sound like something Warner Brothers would be doing for a show that isn't getting a season 3? I'm liking Veronica's chances more and more as each day goes by but I am still cautious in my optimism. Things can change fast in show business.
Veronica Mars Needs You!
Veronica Mars needs you to watch tonight! Don't forget that tonight is a new episode of Veronica Mars at 9pm eastern on UPN. This is the one where Veronica gives her deposition for Aaron's trial, suspects Weevil for the bus crash, and investigates a dead pooch case. Keith will be investigating Kendall and Jackie will be getting a job at Java the Hut. I'm sure we will be getting plenty of clues to boot. You don't want to miss it!
Last week's ratings were back at the 2.07 million viewers mark. I blame this on the time change and the mass preemptions, the one in LA especially hurt. More than anything, Veronica Mars needs your viewership and support if we are all going to get good news on May 18th and see a season 3 in the fall.
This has been your weekly reminder!

CSI Episode 24 (finale) Spoilers
I'm trying something new with CSI. I'm going to post the finale and work my way back from there because they take such a long time to compile and I find the new episode comes around too soon!
This episode will air May 18, 2006.
Due to unknown circumstances we discover that Captain Jim Brass has been shot twice in the chest and one bullet made it passed his vest. Warrick calls for the paramedics. Brass is in bad shape as we learn that Grissom and McKeen are at the hospital. Grissom tells the doctor that he holds Brass' medical power of attorney and will make all the decisions pertaining to Brass' condition.
While at the hospital, Grissom learns of a decapitated head that was discovered in a remote location on some train tracks. The train engineer gives his version of the story and says that he saw the man and tried to stop, it was an accident.
Meanwhile, Catherine is working on another case that has to do with a body that was found in a high end apartment complex. The body is of a Manny Rupert and he is found among a sea of party reminants that include food, drugs, booze, and bodily fluids.
Grissom talks to a doctor at the hospital about Brass' condition. Grissom needs to make a decision about weather or not to perform surgery to remove the bullet from Brass' chest. It is a risky surgery but the chances of survival are equal to the option of leaving the bullet where it lies. Grissom opts for surgery but has doubts.
The crew discovers that the decapitated head belongs to a body that used whalebone corsets. There is only one place in town that sells said product. Sara visits a Mr. Phillipe at an antique type store. They discuss why someone in this day in age would need a corset but Mr. Phillipe offers the head's identity, a Charles Carson.
Grissom relieves McKeen at the hospital as Brass heads into surgery. Grissom later does some research on the internet and finds out that those in Brass' condition have a 62% chance of paralysis after surgery. Grissom continues to doubt his decision. At the same time Sofia visits Grissom's office and announces that Brass' wife called the department and inquired about her husband's pension and death benefits. Sofia is not happy with daughter Ellie Brass as well but Grissom defends Ellie's feelings.
Catherine interrogates a hooker named Sindee who was last seen with Manny. Sindee's blood was also found at the crime scene. Sindee's story is that Manny paid for a full night of affection but was so doped up that he wouldn't get tired. Sindee tried to leave and Manny shot the bedroom mirror and that is when Sindee cut her foot on some glass. The crew tries to prove Sindee's story wrong but find that her story fits the evidence and that her fingerprints are not on any of the booze and drugs.
Back to to the Carson case and Sofia is interrogating a Gregory Kimble, Carson's driver. Kimble tells the crew that Carson was passionate about civil war reenactments and that is exactly where Kimble last saw Carson.
Grissom and Sofia interview a Union Soldier who got into a disagreement on the battle field. The two had a private "battle" and Carson came prepared with real bullets. Carson shot the Union Soldier in the arm and then the soldier ran away. The crew thinks the soldier is a good candidate for the revenge motive and confiscate his revolver. However, back at the lab the revolver is cleared from being the murder weapon.
Meanwhile, Warrick talks to Manny's sister, Rachel. Warrick informs Rachel that her brother died from a diabetic shock due to the insane party he held at his apartment. Warrick concludes that Manny's death was self inflicted.
The crew discovers that the key to the decapitated Carson case is someone who is wearing a toupee. Sofia knows who that Kimble is the culprit. Sofia interrogates Kimble about this revelation and Kimble confesses that Carson's death was an accident. Kimble says that he confronted Carson at the private battle and told him not to continue to pursue the soldier. They wrestled with the gun and Carson got shot. Then Kimble placed Carson's body on the train tracks to honor an old civil war tradition just the way Carson would have wanted it.

Desperate Housewives 2.23 Spoilers
This is part one of the two part finale that will air on May 21, 2006. I anticipate getting spoilers for the second half soon.
This episode is told largely in flashbacks of when the ladies moved to Wisteria Lane.
Gabrielle arrived in 2002. The house did not appear as nice as Gabrielle would have liked and the movers commented about her series of self portraits.
In present day, Gabrielle it getting golf lessons and Stan, the sleazy old man instructor, hits on her.
Bree arrived in 1994 when Andrew was 5 years old and Danielle was just 4 years old. Young Andrew wants to play with Danielle's doll and Bree won't let him while Danielle gets to have what she wants, a pink bedroom. Rex returns for the flashback as well.
In present day, Andrew is talking to a lawyer about an very sizable estate he inherited from a Henry Mason. Andrew says that his father is dead and he does not know who his mother is so that the lawyer will hand over the estate to him.
In a non flashback, the cops pull over Betty and Caleb who are then both arrested.
Also in present day, a newscaster reports that an 40-ish year old African American man who was working on a road crew stepped out into oncoming traffic and was killed.

At the end of the episode Tommy has a discussion with Angie that had him so upset that he pulls off to the side of the road and has a good hard cry. A cop shows up and sees Tommy's bloodshot eyes and wonders if Tommy is high. Tommy assures him the cop that it something just got stuck in his eye. After the cop leaves Tommy goes back to bawling. End of episode.
The OC 3.25 (finale) Spoilers
You know the drill, spoilers for season finales are always suspect to be foilers due to the nature of the episode and the fact that the producers want to keep as much secrets and suspense as possible. However, this comes from a very reliable source so I have to share it. You have been warned!
This episode will air on May 11, 2006.
Marissa and Julie get into a fight. Seems like Marissa wants to move far away from her mother for college and says some nasty things in the process. Julie slaps Marissa but instantly regrets it. Later on Marissa is looking for Volchok and is so upset she actually considers calling her mother. Volchok appears just before Marissa can make the call.
Kirsten and Seth are in a hospital waiting room. It appears that Sandy has just had heart attack and is in surgery. Kirsten blames it on the job and is worried she will lose her husband the same way she lost her father. The doctor comes in and wants to talk to Kirsten privately, Seth freaks out. The doctor does not have good news for Kirsten and says that Sandy is on life support and may not pull through. The doctor also informs Kirsten that Sandy has a "do not resuscitate" clause in his living will.
Meanwhile Summer and Taylor are spying on Dr. Roberts at the Yacht Club. They suspect that he is seeing a mystery woman. Once that mystery woman shows her face Summer knows precisely who she is.
Ryan goes to Theresa's apartment to talk to her. Theresa is upset and asks Ryan to leave. Once Ryan sees Eddie and a friend there drunk and angry, Ryan enters the apartment. It appears that Theresa's child is Ryan's and his name is Daniel. Ryan asks where his son is and wants to take Daniel away from the unhealthy environment. Theresa insists that Daniel is safe but won't tell Ryan where he is because she fears Eddie. Just then Eddie and his friend jump Ryan with a knife.

Survivor Panama Episode 9 Spoilers
This episode the reward challenge prize is the traditional letters from home. The castaways are split into two teams with Courtney, Terry, Bruce and Sally on one team and Aras, Cirie, Shane and Danielle on the other team. The challenge is some sort of pulley system where one person lays on a plank and retrieves flags. It appears that the Aras team loses and he gets sent to Exile Island as well. The immunity challenge starts off with a bribe, anyone who wants to eat must give up their chance at immunity. Cirie and Bruce take Jeff up on the offer for food. Aras and Terry decide to take part in the competition and may be the only people to do so. Terry wins the immunity challenge again and leaves the Casaya alliance hurting. In the end it is Courtney who gets her torch snuffed....er I mean the other blonde, Sally.
Survivor Panama Winner Revealed?
Updating my earlier post about the final 4 being comprised of Cirie, Terry, Danielle and Aras, there now is new evidence that supports my final 4 spoiler but selects a different winner. The online gambling website bogog.com has received a numerous amount of bets on Danielle and has forced them to stop accepting bets on this season's Survivor. This type of betting scandal has happened several times in the past and has always correctly pointed at the eventual winner. Looks like Aras may lose to Danielle in the final tribal council.
Supernatural Finale Spoilers
Supernatural is not one of the shows I watch and therefore I do not cover it. However, since I compiled some finale spoilers for a friend I thought I would share them with you all. Enjoy!
Dean is at Bobby's house and offers him some whiskey. Bobby has helped Dean out with something. Sam looks at a large dusty book, it is the Key of Solomon. Sam and Dean look at a drawing that is a circle with interlocking squares inside of it. Bobby says that they are protective circles. Bobby is worried that Dean and Sam are into things too serious, many more demons than usual. Bobby thinks some sort of storm is coming. Later on Dean punches Meg in the face. Dean is really upset and thinks Meg is lying about someone (a "he") being dead. Bobby tells Dean to be careful with Meg because she is possessed.

Real World Coming to Denver
I just heard the best news of the day even at this late hour. MTV has confirmed that the 18th edition of the Real World is coming to Denver. The series will begin filming in May to be aired sometime in the fall, most likely right after the Freshmeat Challenge ends. Now that I know the Real World will be filmed in my backyard, I will be on the look out for some exclusive scoop!
What I can tell you now is that the 7 strangers will live in the newly refurbished and recently closed B-52 Nightclub that is located at 1920 Market Street in LoDo, the trendy downtown section of Denver. For those of you who are not familiar with the Denver area, this location is just one block south of Coors Field and is a very popular part of town on gamedays and weekends. There are a bunch of bars right acorss the street from the Real World house such as LoDo's, El Chapultepec, Mattie's and Tavern Downtown if you want to check them out in hopes of spying a Real Worlder. MTV did not announce what the roommates' job will be but in this location I would not be surprised if it has to do with baseball or the nightclub scene.

Big Brother 7: All-Stars! Viewers Choice!
As all the season long shows begin to wind down to their finale dates, it has me thinking about some of the upcoming summer shows. In particular, one of my favorite and most addicting summer shows: Big Brother. Here is the information I have gathered so far about this summer's Big Brother 7. Check back here for updates!
It is widely speculated that the 2006 edition of Big Brother is going to be an All-Star season. CBS picked up the 7th season of Big Brother unusually early last October and rumor has it that this was due to the network approving the idea of an All-Star edition and needing the extra time it would take to cast the past houseguests. It has also been speculated that CBS wants to capitalize on the huge popularity of Kaysar by giving a third chance to win the 500k. Other evidence points to the All-Star edition being likely such as the application link has been removed from the CBS website much earlier than usual and former houseguest Kaysar and Dr. Will hinting that the rumors may be true. What is not clear at this time is who will be cast on said edition of Big Brother other than Kaysar. Also, it is rumored that it may be All-Stars versus "non stars" but this is one of the least popular scenarios.
This rumor is gathering steam as we get closer to summer. I'm hearing that the All-Stars edition cast may be chosen by the audience out of 20 selected by the network. Time think about which past houseguest you want to see back on the show. I'd love to see Kaysar, Amy, Marcellas, Jason, and Janelle. I hope someone from season 1 is included and no past winners are allowed back into the game. Although it might be tough to keep the evil Dr. Will out of the All-Star edition.
We do know that the houseguests will begin their lock in on Monday, July 3rd and the first episode will likely air on Thursday, July 7th. That is less than 3 months away so get ready for some Big Brother!
CBS has now confirmed that Big Brother 7 will indeed be an All-Stars edition. A list of 20 candidates will be available soon and the audience will vote on who they would like to see cast on the show. There is one twist (of course big Brother would have a twist). The twist is that the producers will reserve the right to "veto" some of the audience's decisions and cast some less popular houseguests. Why didn't they just say Eric is going to be in the house even if he receives zero votes? It is obvious who the producers want in that the audience does not like. But I'll save my judgment for later. I'll update when I hear about the top 20 and how you can cast your vote.

Notice About Updates
I just wanted to let you all know that I have been updating some of my previous posts. Some of you may have already noticed but if I have done any updating I will put that date at the bottom of the post. I have decided to do this rather than reposting the same topic over and over again. That is because I know some people go through the archives so I did not want there to be confusion and people reading only old information. So, if there is a topic that I mentioned that I will update when I know more, you may want to check that post periodically. Also, lists that I make such as the spring finale dates and summer premiere dates will be continually updated as well. As you can see, I have already made some minor updates and will continue to do so!

Veronica Mars Ratings News
I just heard some exciting news that I wanted to share with all of you Veronica Mars fans. Wednesday's episode of Veronica Mars had 3 million viewers, the first time since the December hiatus. This is great news especially since Veronica Mars was up against a new episode of Lost, American Idol and had to deal with mass local sports preemptions. And what a fantastic episode it was for all those people to see!
However, this does not mean that we can stop our efforts to help save Veronica Mars. This show still needs all the help and support it can get. This news just affirms that what we are doing is working. Our efforts coupled with increased ratings makes Veronica Mars on the CW more possible but we still need to keep up the fight. The next task is to make sure people tune in when Veronica Mars moves to Tuesday starting April 11th at 9pm eastern. Spread the word!

Survivor Panama Episode 8 Spoilers
This week we are back to having both the Reward and Immunity challenges. In the reward challenge the castaways are divided into groups and run some sort of relay race. It appears that Aras and Sally are on the winning team. Since there was no exile last week, two teams will be going to exile this week and it appears that Danielle and Austin are the ones getting sent to exile island. Much ado comes out about the exile immunity idol but once Terry wins an obstacle race type Immunity challenge there is no need for Terry to use it. Sadly, it appears that Austin in the one who gets the boot and becomes the first member of the jury.
Also, it has been discovered that next fall's Survivor season will be on Aitutaki in the South Pacific.
NFL to Announce Schedule Today
The NFL will unveil their 2006 schedule today. It is an annual tradtion for me to make my predictions on what the Denver Broncos schedule will look like. I'm usually almost a 100% wrong but it is fun nonetheless. Here are my guesses below and I'll score them later today once I get all the schedule details. I'll also highlight some good matchups and give my thoughts becuase you know football is right around the corner.
I repeat this is NOT the real Broncos schedule. These are just my guesses.
Week 1: CIN @ DEN
Week 2: DEN @ OAK
Week 3: DEN @ STL
Week 4: SD @ DEN
Week 5: DEN @ CLE
Week 6: SF @ DEN
Week 7: BAL @ DEN
Week 8: DEN @ ARZ
Week 9: Bye
Week 10: DEN @ SD
Week 11: IND @ DEN
Week 12: DEN @ KC (confirmed)
Week 13: SEA @ DEN
Week 14: OAK @ DEN
Week 15: DEN @ PIT
Week 16: DEN @ NE
Week 17: KC @ DEN
Updated: Now the 2006 NFL schedule is official. Here is the REAL Broncos schedule. As you can see I didn't get any of my guesses correct but it was still fun to try.
Week 1: DEN @STL
Week 2: KC @ DEN
Week 3: DEN @ NE (Sunday night)
Week 4: Bye
Week 5: BAL @ DEN (Monday night)
Week 6: OAK @ DEN (Sunday night)
Week 7: DEN @ CLE
Week 8: IND @ DEN
Week 9: DEN @ PIT
Week 10: DEN @ OAK
Week 11: SD @ DEN
Week 12: DEN @ KC (Thursday night)
Week 13: SEA @ DEN
Week 14: DEN @ SD
Week 15: DEN @ ARZ
Week 16: CIN @ DEN
Week 17: SF @ DEN
My take on the schedule: I'll start with the good: I like that the Broncos will be on national TV 4 times and they play 3 primetime games in a row. I'm perplexed that the scheduling folks picked Oakland and Baltimore as primetime opponents but they will be a good opportunity for a win. The Broncos don't have any especially long stretches away or against tough opponents. I would say that this could be a schedule that works in the Broncos favor. Here is what I don't like: The bye is too early to be effective, most of the west coast games are grouped together and the Broncos end with their easiest opponent. I could see NBC choosing the Bengals or Seahawks game for their Sunday night switch late in the season but NBC will likely go after east coast eyeballs and dollars for thier choosing. All in all I like the schedule but I was hoping for a little bit more excitement to look forward to. Bring on September!

Gilmore Girls 6.22 (finale) Spoilers
I must preface this by saying that once again, this finale spoiler gives a lot away. Do not read if you are not 100% sure you want to know. Also, I received this information from a very reliable source but given that this is the finale and the spoiler contains the final scene of the show there is always the chance that this could be a foiler. You have been warned!
The episode will air on May 9, 2006.
Lorelei arrives at the Gilmore house for dinner. Emily askes Lorelei where Luke is and Lorelei avoids the subject. Rory is already there and she is talking on her cell to Finn and appears to be planning a party. It seems that the party would be for Logan since he has just graduated Yale and is leaving for London the next day. Later on Richard, Emily, Lorelei and Rory talk about a sign that is going to be on the side of an astronomy building. Rory is worried that it will be too big. The Gilmore maid for this episode, Gerta, shows Christopher into the room during this discussion. Later on Christoper and Lorelei are sitting in on a conversation between Emily and Carolyn. It seems as if there will be a party that evening. Meanwhile, Taylor is upset that a bunch of troubadours are gathered in the town square but nobody else seems bothered by them. The episode ends when Lorelei wakes up naked in Christopher's bed. Christoper is trying to explain to G.G. and the nanny Mirium why Lorelei is there as Lorelei begins to comprehend what has happened.

The OC Episode 3.24 Spoilers
This episode will air in May, 2006.
The episode begins right where 3.23 ended. It appears that Ryan just beat up Volchok on prom night that left Volchok unconscious. Ryan ends up carrying Volchok to his van and driving him to the hospital. At the hospital, Volchok wakes up just as Ryan is about to confess as to what happened. Volchok ends up covering for Ryan but tells him they have unfinished business and to meet him the next day. It then appears that Ryan gets roped in to helping Volchok pull off some scheme as repayment for the beating.
Sandy is continuing to have problems with the hospital project. Sandy has Matt's files and is getting calls from Griffith. Sandy has a difficult decision to make if we wants to keep going with the hospital project or to do the right thing.
Kirsten is still worried about the effect Sandy's situation has on the family. Later we discover that Kirsten is drinking again. Seth finds the evidence and knows that Kirsten has fallen off the wagon. Seth does not initially say anything. Instead, Seth goes into his room and considers smoking pot again.
Marissa goes to visit Kaitlin at her boarding school. Turns out Kaitlin is having problems with a boy named Trevor who is a descendent from the boarding school founder. Marissa, Kaitlin and a friend from boarding school named Hadley hatch a plan to get back at Trevor. It turns out that Marissa is pretending to be a stripper and seduces Trevor to help Kaitlin retrieve something from his room.
It appears that Seth and Summer are hanging out again, possibly they are back together. Ryan and Marissa are friends again too.
The episode ends with cops pulling up to the Yacht club. Ryan thinks they are coming after him, possibly for what he did with Volchok. Instead, it is Seth who the cops take into custody. There was a fire at the Newport Group and they think Seth is the culprit.

Next RW/RR Challenge Info
I heard people start talking about the next Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV and wondering if there is any information available about it yet. Queen TV to the rescue! I did some digging and found a little bit of information on the subject and I'm here to share it with you all.
The next challenge was filmed in Australia in December of 2005. MTV will air it in May or possibly June of this year, right after the Real World Key West season ends. This installment has been named the "Fresh Meat Challenge" because never before seen fans will participate in the challenge with the MTV vets. Some of the names that have already surfaced as cast members are Derrick, Tina and Katie from Road Rules as well as Coral, Danny, Mel, Was, Johanna and Tonya from the Real World. I hear that Danny, Mel and Johanna don't last too long.
In other related news, I also heard that Bunim-Murray productions have begun work on remodeling the Road Rules franchise in hopes that MTV will give it another shot. They are hoping to add a fan interaction element to help change the series enough for a pick up.
An update on this story has been posted on 5.12.06 but I'm puting the info here becuase I know some people still get linked to the archives.
The premiere date for this show has been set and it will begin on Monday, May 29th. The cast list has been released as well. Here is the list of returning favorites and new "fresh meat" members courtesy of rrrwblog. It appears that one "fresh" will be paired with a veteran.

AL World Series Odds
Continuing our tour of the MLB at the start of the baseball season, here are the AL odds and my comments at the bottom.
7-2 New York Yankees
9-2 Chicago White Sox
10-1 Boston Red Sox
13-1 Los Angeles Angels
13-1 Oakland Athletics
14-1 Cleveland Indians
25-1 Minnesota Twins
30-1 Toronto Blue Jays
40-1 Texas Rangers
60-1 Seattle Mariners
100-1 Baltimore Orioles
100-1 Detroit Tigers
350-1 Tampa Bay Devil Rays
400-1 Kansas City Royals
My take on these odds: Amazing the drop off after the top 6 teams, it is pretty hard for there to be a darkhorse MLB team to challenge for the pennant. The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox always have the best chance to win but their odds are too high to be a good bet. A good bet might be the Cleveland Indians at 14-1 and an even better odds on the Texas Rangers at 40-1. The Chicago White Sox will be good again this year but at 9-2 this is just way too generous.

NL World Series Odds
In honor of the baseball season beginning this Sunday, lets have a look at the World Series odds courtesy of fieldgoal.com. My comments are at the bottom and the AL odds will shortly follow.
5-1 New York Mets
7-1 St. Louis Cardinals
12-1 Chicago Cubs
20-1 Los Angeles Dodgers
23-1 San Francisco Giants
25-1 Atlanta Braves
30-1 Houston Astros
30-1 Philadelphia Phillies
40-1 San Diego Padres
40-1 Milwaukee Brewers
100-1 Arizona Dimondbacks
100-1 Pittsburgh Pirates
100-1 Washington Nationals
175-1 Cincinnati Reds
250-1 Florida Marlins
300-1 Colorado Rockies
My take on these odds: First of all I have to say that I'm sad that the Colorado Rockies are picked to finish last in the NL. I know they have a tough road to climb out of the cellar but I promise they will make it out of last place. I'm not advising anyone to bet on them but instead I'm just asking for a little love for my Rockies. The St. Louis Carnials are expected to have a good year but are too high at 7-1. The Philadelphia Phillies are a good bet at 30-1 and could have a chance to make a run for it.

Amazing Race Moving to Wednesday
CBS has just announced that effective next week, the Amazing Race will be moving from its Tuesday at 10pm eastern slot to a more family friendly 8pm eastern slot on Wednesday instead. This move is a great idea since the Amazing Race was dying at 10pm and nothing competitive is in the 8pm slot anyways. Out of Practice and Courting Alex are going in to indefinite hiatus to make room for the Amazing Race. A CSI: Miami repeat will fill the 10pm slot on Tuesday at least for the first week.
Good thing this does not effect Veronica Mars. I knew CBS was not going to leave the Amazing Race in that horrible slot, I'm just glad that they did not put it in direct competition with VM at 9pm. Good news all around!

Survivor Panama Episode 7 Spoilers
After an unusual Survivor hiatus we are ready for a new episode tonight and big things are happening in Panama. The two tribes will merge and only one challenge will be held. The immunity challenge is an endurance contest and will feature everyone hanging upside down. The person who hands on the longest will win and this appears to be Terry who wins individual immunity. It is speculated that the person who fails the immunity challenge first will be sent to exile island but there is no information about who that may be. The vote will come down to between Austin and Nick as it could be either one to go after their original tribe alliance is broken up. It appears that Nick gets the last boot before the jury is formed.

Watch Veronica Mars & Season 3
This is your weekly reminder to watch Veronica Mars tonight at 9pm/8pm central on UPN. You don't want to miss the episode where Veronica's ex boyfriend Troy Vandegraff returns. Also, this is the episode where Michael Cera and Ali Shawkat from Arrested Development guest star. But, there is one even more compelling reason to tune in to Veronica Mars tonight, especially if you have never seen it before and that is the fact that season 3's mystery will be subtly introduced in tonight's episode. If you want to stay ahead of the curve for next season, tonight's episode is a must watch!
Also, one more tidbit of information I can share is that Rob Thomas and the writers are considering introducing 3 mysteries next season and will each be wrapped up in 7 episodes or so. The idea is that it will become less intimidating for new viewers to start to watch the show and it will give a earlier payoff for those newbies. The network is also considering making each of those 7ish episode chunks air uninterrupted without repeats, so in essence it would be 3 mini seasons in one. I think the idea is genius because it keep the format fresh and I'm sure Rob will intertwine the mysteries and make it just as engrossing for us Veronica Mars fanatics. Nothing is ever done at face value on Veronica Mars! What are your thoughts about this new idea for season 3?

CSI Episode 18 Spoilers
I will be able to post CSI spoilers much further in advance in the future but it has taken me some time to get caught up. Please let me know if you want future CSI spoilers as detailed as this. Due to the nature of CSI, things are very detailed and it is possible sometime to know how the entire episode will go. I'll do a more condensed version that does not give the mystery conclusion away if more people prefer that.
This episode will air March 30, 2006.
There is a trial going on about a young man, Marlon, accused of murdering a teenage girl named Christy. At the trial Marlon's sister Hannah confesses to the murder. The problem is now that both Marlon and Hannah have confessed and the CSIs are brought in to determine which one of them is lying.
During the course of the investigation we learn that Hannah is a genius with an IQ of over 170. Hannah is very academically gifted and even conducts her own science experiments. Hannah says that she murdered Christy because she was being bullied and Christy always played tricks on her. Christy died because sodium was put in her shower head at school and once water was turned on the shower head exploded. Hannah says that this was her way of getting back at Christy. Hannah says that her brother Marlon was just trying to protect her and that is why he confessed.
Over the course of the investigation, the evidence begins pointing to Hannah. She won an award for the sodium experiment at a science fair and had access to sodium at the school's lab. Hannah also used her computer to print "out of order" flyers from the school's printer to hang on the bathroom door to make sure that nobody would foil her plan.
In the meantime, the CSIs find a bloody fingerprint from Christy's boyfriend Scott in Christy's car. The CSIs think that Hannah is now just covering up for Scott because she had a crush on him. Scott defends himself by saying that the blood was from when he took Christy's virginity and the lab goes to analyze the fingerprint for lubricants and such. Turns out Scott was telling the truth and now they are back to figuring out if it was Hannah or Marlon who killed Christy.
The CSIs think they are on to something when they find sodium in Hannah's bathroom but then discover that she shares it with Marlon. Then the CSIs go to the high school to walk though the crime. Hannah would not have been tall enough to put the sodium in the shower head but Marlon would have. But then they find a chair in the next shower stall over that is mainly used for hanicap use. Hannah could have used the chair to stand on. Then comes the task of moving the body on to the football field. The CSIs determine that Hannah could not have moved the body on her own so Marlon must have had to be the one to carry the body. The CSIs confront Hannah with this information and she says she used the landscaper's cart to move it.
Now we are at the conclusion of the trial and Marlon is found not guilty due to reasonable doubt that Hannah cast on the case. The CSIs ask the D.A. if they are going to go forward with prosecuting Hannah and the D.A. says no because she would get off for the same reasonable doubt. Hannah was smart enough to skew the evidence so that the CSIs could not figure out which one committed the murder and essence they both get off for it.

Denver Declines NFL Opener
Updating my story from yesterday regarding the announcement of NFL week 1 and Thanksgiving games, I have learned that the NFL is not to blame for my disappointment. Ever since the Steelers won the Super Bowl I have been telling anyone and everyone who will listen that I knew for a fact that the NFL would choose the Denver Broncos to play at the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first NFL game of the season on September 7th. When the news came out that the Steelers will be hosting the Miami Dolphins, I was let down and began doubting my instincts. But, today the story came out that Broncos owner Pat Bowlen declined the offer by the NFL to play in the opener. Bowlen said that he would prefer to play at Pittsburgh later on in the year when the focus was not on their recent Super Bowl win. I understand his reasoning and if playing Pittsburgh later in the year gives the Broncos even a slight more chance to win the game, I'm all for it but I can't help but think what might have been!
Veronica Mars Ratings Update
Just updating my previous post about the Veronica Mars ratings. For more information please see the "Veronica Mars Ratings Explained" post.
Episode 2.15 had 2.58 million viewers according to Mediaweek. These numbers are lower than the previous week's 2.76 and are going in the wrong direction. However, Lost was a new episode last week and numbers have always been lower against a new Lost. Since Lost will have another new episode this week, we will have a good comparison to see if there is any ratings growth potential.
Episode 2.16 had 2.07 million viewers according to Mediaweek. This is a terrible development but the good news is that the rating stayed basically the same between last week and this week. This means that the same percentage of TVs were tuned in to VM, just less people were watching them. These numbers should go up once VM moves to Tuesday on April 11th becuase it will not have to compete with Lost and American Idol. However, I'm still concerned about the lack of a strong lead in. It is worth noting that Rob Thomas is still very optimistic for a season 3 so only time will tell. Stay tuned to the next chapter in this saga.

NFL Week 1 & Thanksgiving Games
Today the NFL announced some early parts of the 2006 schedule. They only revealed the partial week 1 schedule and the Thanksgiving Day games but we are one step closer to the return of football nonetheless. Here is what we know so far, times are listed in eastern:
Week 1:
Thursday, September 7:
MIA @ PIT 8:30pm NBC (season opener)
Sunday, September 10:
DAL @ JAX 4:15pm FOX
IND @ NYG 8:15pm NBC
Monday, September 11:
MIN @ WAS 7pm ESPN (doubleheader)
SD @ OAK 10:15pm ESPN
Week 12:
Thursday, November 23: (Thanksgiving)
MIA @ DET 12:30pm CBS
TB @ DAL 4:15pm FOX
DEN @ KC 8pm NFL Network
While I'm thrilled that the Broncos get to play on Thanksgiving for the second straight year, I am completely shocked that the Broncos do not open the season at Pittsburgh. Traditionally it is a playoff opponent that opens at the defending Super Bowl champion. Carson Palmer is hurt for Cincinnati and Pittsburgh does not host Indianapolis in 2006 so the only logical choice would have been to host Denver. I get that Miami is going to be much improved in 2006 but to give the marquee macthup to a team that failed to make the playoffs in 2005 is a slap in the face.
Another poor move is to feature Oakland on opening week AGAIN. Oakland was an embarrassing team in 2005 and got beat by New England in the opener last year. I understand that an AFC West divisional matchup is the point here but with San Diego going with Philip Rivers at QB and Oakland barely making any improvements this could turn out to be a lackluster game. San Diego at Kansas City would have been a much more attractive matchup. Al Davis must have an awful lot of pull on the NFL.
I like the rest of the matchups that were announced. I like it when teams such as Jacksonville are highlighted. And like I said, Denver was given a prime matchup as well so I can't be too bitter about the week 1 shaft. I love the idea that the NFL is going to broadcast a game on either Thursday or Saturday in each of the last 8 weeks of the season on the NFL Network. Now just watch as the entire country goes into fits trying to figure out if they get that channel or not. For the record, I do and I'm extremely happy about it. This just means that more games will be televised and more opportunities to watch football!
The rest of the schedule will be announced in early April. You can bet that I'll be right on top of that announcement and I will share the best macthups and my thoughts with you again. Now if someone will tell me what the big game of the week is supposed to be now that ABC is no longer broadcasting Monday Night Football. I still don't understand if it supposed to be Monday Night on ESPN or Sunday Night on NBC. I guess when the rest of the schedule comes out things will become more clear.
Week 1:
Thursday, September 7:
MIA @ PIT 8:30pm NBC (season opener)
Sunday, September 10:
DAL @ JAX 4:15pm FOX
IND @ NYG 8:15pm NBC
Monday, September 11:
MIN @ WAS 7pm ESPN (doubleheader)
SD @ OAK 10:15pm ESPN
Week 12:
Thursday, November 23: (Thanksgiving)
MIA @ DET 12:30pm CBS
TB @ DAL 4:15pm FOX
DEN @ KC 8pm NFL Network

2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Odds
Continuing on with my thoughts about sports and odds, next stop is NASCAR. This sport is growing exponentially in popularity and if you watch a race all the way through you can't help but like it. Here are the current odds to win the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup courtesy of fieldgoal.com.
4-1 Jimmy Johnson
5-1 Jeff Gordon
6-1 Dale Earnhardt Jr.
6-1 Tony Stewart
7-1 Matt Kenseth
8-1 Greg Biffle
8-1 Casey Mears
10-1 Kasey Khane
10-1 Mark Martin
12-1 Carl Edwards
15-1 Kyle Busch
15-1 Jamie McMurray
20-1 Ryan Newman
25-1 Jeff Burton
25-1 Kurt Busch
25-1 Dale Jarrett
40-1 Elliot Sadler
45-1 The Field (any other driver)
50-1 Brian Vickers
65-1 Kevin Harvick
75-1 Denny Hamlin
75-1 Martin Truex Jr.
300-1 Joe Nemechek
300-1 Jeremy Mayfield
300-1 Scott Riggs
300-1 Ken Schrader
My take on these odds: Clearly the best bets are Jimmy Johnson and Tony Stewart but both have high odds as well. Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are awesome drivers but are favored a little too much after missing the chase (top 10 drivers with 10 races to go) last year. Casey Mears is another driver that has higher odds than his history should allow. I was shocked to see that Kyle Busch was favored so much more than his older more experienced past champion brother Kurt Busch. If I was going to lay money on anyone it would be Kurt Busch. At 25-1 these are fantastic odds and after his win today they won't be this low much longer. I also found it funny that some drivers were favored so much less than the field because it is pretty much impossible for someone from the field to come in and steal the Nextel cup crown.

Gilmore Girls Cliffhangers
I'm not much one to report on the rumor mill but this one was too juicy not to share. I have some information on what is going to happen in the finale of Gilmore Girls, specifically the cliffhangers that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino alluded to in her interviews. Courtesy of Genki at Fan Forum, the cliffhangers are that Rory and Logan elope and that Luke and Lorelei break up. The reasons for these developments are unknown!
It has now been brought to my attention that if the Logan-Rory elopement is a foiler that it will perhaps be that Lorelei gives Luke an ultimatum to elope with her or not and Luke will choose to decline.

Veronica goes to a burger joint that Woody owns and finds a copy of the picture she has. It lists the kids on the baseball team. Veronica doesn't have any luck with the final name of the kids on the team but spies a caption that states that Cassidy Casablancas was not pictured. It appears Veronica feels she has solved the mystery.
Mac and Beaver are at the Neptune Grand getting ready for a graduation party when Veronica tries to get the front desk clerk to give her Beaver's room number. The clerk informs Veronica that they can't give out that information and Beaver has given do not disturb orders. Veronica has to find some other way to get the information.

Veronica Mars Moving to Tuesday
In another ever changing strategy move, UPN has announced that starting on Tuesday, April 11th Veronica Mars will broadcast on Tuesdays at 9pm/8pm central through the finale. This change was made in an attempt to get Veronica Mars away from stiff competition in Lost and American Idol as well as to get the show back in its original time slot and perhaps a preview of its possible pairing with Gilmore Girls on the CW.
Please keep in mind that Veronica Mars will remain on Wednesday for the next two weeks, still airing on its scheduled night on March 29th and April 5th. Once the switch is made, repeats of VM will occupy the Wednesday slot for a couple of weeks until UPN makes up their mind on what move to make next.
What does this mean for our dearly beloved show? One can draw both positive and negative conclusions from this news. It is a good move to get Veronica Mars out of the way of Lost/Idol competition and to put it back in its original time slot. With the repeats airing on Wednesday, this will not affect the casual fan because they will still get to see the newest episode of VM for the week. On the downside, another move signals that UPN is not happy with how VM is performing and the endless tinkering could kill the show. Repeats of Top Model would become the new lead in for VM on Tuesdays and could end up not being a good enough draw for the original episodes of VM. Remember what happened with South Beach as a lead in?
My conclusion is that the jury is still out. This move does not signal doom or celebration. Bottom line is there is still a lot of work to be done before getting Veronica Mars on the fall schedule and the first place to start is to keep getting new viewers and to notify as many people about this scheduling change.

Veronica Mars Tonight!
In case any of you forgot or are undecided on what to watch tonight, let me remind you that Veronica Mars is on at 9pm/8pm central.
If you have forgotten the many reasons why to watch VM, please reference my post from 3/15/06! The American Idol results are still pointless boring fluff and the eye candy is just as nice. Oh, not to mention the best acting, plotting and mystery on television.
Since I can't post and not leave you with any useful information, here is a little spoiler for you. Kendall visits Aaron in prison and he leads her to Duncan's shower. This time she's not hoping to have a rendezvous with Duncan, she has other plans in mind.

Another Top Model on VM
In keeping with recent tradition, this "cycle" of America's Next Top Model will feature the winner of an upcoming challenge on Veronica Mars. Previous winners include Naima as the dear departed Ms. Dumas and Kim as a rental car company employee. This cycle's winner is none other than Furonda Brasfield playing a character named Beverly in the April 5th episode of Veronica Mars. I guess we all know who is sticking around on Top Model for a while.

Veronica Mars' Ratings Explained
It seems like there are a lot of questions surrounding Veronica Mars' ratings and chances for a fall pick up. While I don't have any idea as to what the CW is thinking, every day that goes by it looks better for a season 3. That does not mean that anyone should get complacent and stop campaigning but things should be looked at with some hope. Some sites that shall be remained nameless are beginning to irritate me with the constant doom and gloom. I'm a girl that appreciates a realistic approach but there is no need for the constant negativity.
There are a lot of questions I see come up about VM's rating and if they are good enough. Someone even asked Kristin from E! this question today in the chat and while she did give us great positive news that the CW is "96% sure" to pick up VM for the fall, she never answered the darn question! I'm here to offer some information and shed some light on this so that all of us VM fans can make up our own opinions about ratings without having to ask a journalist how good the show is doing.
First of all, what is good rating? Well CSI type ratings is obviously the top of the best. VM is never going to get to this level and I doubt 30 million people even get UPN so we have to compare UPN shows to UPN shows here. One easy yard stick is to see how VM compares to Top Model. If VM gets 60% retention from Top Model that's decent, 70% or more and things are looking good.
If you want to get more in to the numbers and really see where things are headed, compare VM ratings from week to week and from season to season. There are many different calculations of ratings such as Overnights or Fast National. Each website and publication uses different ratings so it is essential to make sure apples are compared to apples and so on. I prefer the ratings that Mediaweek put out because they express their numbers as millions of viewers. That is the easiest for me to understand and compare from week to week.
How well is VM doing in terms of millions of viewers? Keep in mind that the season 1 average was 2.5 (million viewers). Before the holiday hiatus VM was getting about an average of 3.0. A couple of times when Lost was in a repeat VM hit records at a high of 3.55 and the low was during Thanksgiving week at 2.54. When VM came back in January for Donut Run it got a horrendous 1.6, so you can see why everyone began freaking out. The next 2 episodes got 2.14 and 2.05 respectively. A bit better but as you can see still very disappointing. So, when VM finally came back from its second hiatus on 3/15/06 it got a encouraging 2.76. Not bad at all considering all the turmoil it has been though.
My overall point is that VM got one of its higher ratings of the season this past Wednesday and nobody said a darn thing about it. Sure, the ratings need to improve and we need to get back to the consistent 3.0 million viewer range, pushing the 3.5 on a regular basis but this was a HUGE improvement from those episodes shown in January and February. None of the media, journalists or hype types dared to share this information or explain the ratings. Now I hope that you all have a batter understanding of the VM ratings and can keep track for yourself at home.
